The Bowen Technique, or Bowen therapy, is a holistic, gentle form of bodywork that supports the body's natural ability to heal.

This hands-on treatment is performed over loose clothing, making it a non-invasive option suitable for all ages. It aims to aid relaxation, reduce pain, and improve overall well-being, addressing a variety of conditions including:

Acute and chronic pain

Musculoskeletal issues and injuries

Hormonal imbalances

Stress-related problems

Digestive difficulties

General health maintenance

“Any modality that is as effective as Bowen should be more widely used and distributed”
— Dr Gabor Maté

“Bowen works like acupuncture without the needles. I trained in the Bowen technique shortly after qualifying as an acupuncturist because not everyone is comfortable with needles. I'm continually amazed by the simplicity of the treatment and the power of its results.”
— Rebecca Anne Ellis

How the Bowen Technique Works

The Bowen Technique targets a crucial body tissue called ‘fascia’—the connective tissue that supports and surrounds muscles, nerves, and organs.

The treatment involves a series of precise, gentle rolling movements on specific points of the body. These moves are followed by short pauses, during which the practitioner may leave the room. This alternation allows time for the body to respond and facilitates the restructuring of the fascia (and its connections), supporting the body's natural healing response.

Potential Benefits Include:

Pain reduction

Improved circulation

Increased range of motion

Deep relaxation and enhanced well-being
