Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave.
The Greek Stoic philosopher Epictetus who was born into slavery realised "People are disturbed not by things but the view they take of them". We can't control what happens to us, however we can only control how we respond to it.
Diane
Diane Knight is a Cognitive Behaviour Therapist (Psychotherapist/counsellor) and Mindfulness teacher who has worked professionally in this field for over 8 years.
Completing 3 years training which included an Advanced Diploma in CBT/REBT and an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Therapy which included Solution and Compassion Focused Therapy, Action and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy.
Working holistically using the various different therapies she has trained to treat the person based on their individual needs and current situation.
Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) is a pioneering form of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) which she has extensively trained in after receiving the benefits herself as a client. REBT creates a philosophical shift in mindset as it's a structured goal-directed type of therapy aimed towards creating a change in belief to one of unconditional self acceptance.
You may worry about what people think about you, feel really anxious about social events, suffer with high levels of stress at work, struggle to juggle everything and find yourself taking it out on family members.
Perhaps you are struggling with conflict with family or friends, having difficulties with your partner, feeling worthless, lonely and have a lack of hope. You may have experienced grief and not really processed it properly yet. These are just some of the examples of problems which cause people to reach out for some professional support.
With a strong desire for change, you will work together using the latest Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) techniques to create the changes that you wish to make. Diane will empower you and train you to become your own therapist so you won't need her anymore. It's very educational so it's a bit like going back to college/university and training your mind to work more effectively and efficiently for you. For most people a short course of regular sessions helps to take back control of their lives and allow them to manage challenges and difficulties in a resourceful way.
Specialist in anxiety, stress, depression and low self worth.

originally from New Zealand and has lived in the UK with his wife and two children, since 2012.
With over 25 years’ experience collaborating with people, Sam is qualified as a systemic psychotherapist, family therapist, supervisor, and a Registered Member of UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) and member of AFT (Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practice).
Alongside my small private practice, Sam currently works for the NHS in an adult mental health psychotherapy service. Previously working in two early intervention services supporting people and families experiencing a first episode of psychosis and emerging personality disorder.
Sam also offers supervision to trainee and experienced clinicians, organisational or team supervision and is an academic tutor at Plymouth University in the field of systemic theory and practice.
Sam’s approach is systemic which means it has a relational focus. Problems, solutions, and experiences do not rest in isolation but are considered in the context of life, both past, present and how they influence the future. It seems important to explore how these experiences can impact on different relationships whether it’s an intimate relationship, family, friend or relationship with yourself. A systemic approach works with recurrent and fixed patterns that develop in relationships to enable growth and change to enable healthier patterns to emerge.
Sessions for couples, families, and individuals available in person or telephone/online.
Please telephone or email to arrange an initial introductory conversation.

Gillian (MNCS Accred) is a holistic, client-centred counsellor who firmly believes no one should feel alone when struggling with mental health and well-being issues.

Through attentive listening and curiosity, Gillian can help guide you to explore your troubles without judgement. She creates an empathic, warm and confidential space and tailors her counselling style to meet your specific needs.

Testimonials
I highly recommend Antonia for individual therapy. From the get go she was transparent and understanding and I was able to express my concerns with past therapists and how we would work through them. I also appreciate Antonia’s honesty and compassion throughout our sessions
Antonia provides a really excellent service, she really listens to what you say without judgement or expectations and offers really insightful feedback and comments. Starting counselling can be very daunting but from our first session she made me feel at ease and it felt comfortable to share my thoughts and feelings with her. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone
Antonia has an amazing skill of guiding you to realisation and understanding about yourself, and working with her has given me a deep understanding of unhelpful thought patterns which have been present for a long time. Antonia has worked with me to develop strategies which are helping me to start thinking and feeling differently. Put simply, this has changed my life
