What is the practice of Circle?
Women throughout history have gathered in Circles to empower and feel connected ~ to themselves and each other. To share problems, seek wisdom and to listen deeply.
To remember we are all part of something bigger.
This gave us a sense of belonging, trusting our inner knowing, feeling deeply grounded and at one with ourselves, each other and mother nature. But over time this practice, connection and knowing has been lost to all our detriment.
Gathering around the moon and seasonal cycles is a great way to reconnect us ~ to ourselves, nature, others and the magic of the Universe.
It can help us feel part of something so much bigger and create a sense of peace and contentment because of it.
When we gather to observe, reconnect and honour the moon's cycle, we begin to do the same for our own.
We see that just like nature, our lives aren't linear but cyclical too. That we ebb and flow, wax and wane, experience summers and winters, we are not meant to be on all of the time in the way society often expects of us.
I know the power of the Circle, it is why I am so passionate about holding this space for others. It has real medicine, real magic, real transformation..yet it can almost seem too simple.
But its power comes from simplicity.
Simple doesn’t always mean easy though.
The simple act of creating space can feel impossible at times. Finding time to spend on ourselves dropping further and further down the to do list.
And that is another reason the Circle is so powerful. It creates that space and time for you.
It is your time to reconnect to the simple (not always easy) act of being with yourself. Of asking yourself how you are doing, if anything needs to change and making a commitment to doing so.
As soon as we cross the threshold of our daily lives into the Circle an almost intangible shift can occur. Like taking a long, deep breath and a slow, intentional exhale. You may experience a loosening of the shoulders. Sense yourself sinking deeper into the ground. A feeling of belonging and connectedness on a bone deep level. Like you have finally come home to yourself.
Something magical happens in the Circle and I do not say that lightly. When you make a commitment to connect to yourself, others and the Universe, that connection is mirrored back to you in deep and wonderful ways.
There is energy, messages and medicine waiting for you, ready to hold, cleanse and transform you.
Your commitment is simply to show up, be open, intentional and let the Circle work her magic.
Women’s Circles are a beautiful opportunity for a group of likeminded souls to come together with meaning, intention and purpose. If you’re new to moon circles, you can think of them like a yoga class or therapy group, but for your soul; infused with play, transformation, and magic.
